- WHAT IS IT ?
- ------------
- TPUNCH is a utility program that provides machinists and CNC
- programmers an easy method to punch tapes for various CNC
- controllers. TPUNCH will punch a tape using your tape puncher
- connected to a serial port on the PC.

- TPUNCH is distributed as-is. The author disclaims all
- warranties, expressed or implied. The author will assume no
- liability for damages either from the direct use of this product or
- as a consequence of the use of this product. This offer is a limited
- time offer and pre-empts any previous offer.

- SHAREWARE

- This is a shareware version of TPUNCH, and it is fully functional.
- You are encouraged to try this SHAREWARE version, and if you find it
- of value, to register your copy. You are granted a limited license
- to use this shareware version for a "reasonable" period of time. The
- registration fee is $150.00 U.S., and $175.00 outside the U.S. This
- registration fee entitles you to use TPUNCH beyond a trial period.
- Registered users will also be able to upgrade their copy of TPUNCH,
- by removing the registration screen. When sending in your registration,
- you MUST mention the version you are registering, where you obtained
- TPUNCH, and the registration fee. Any suggestions or comments are
- always appreciated, so if you have something you want included or
- changed in the program, please write.

- USING TPUNCH
-
- TPUNCH is run from the DOS command line. Type TPUNCH and then
- press <ENTER>.

- When running TPUNCH for the first time a configuration screen
- will appear. Enter the appropriate COM port, baudrate, file viewing
- utility path, file editing utility path, and command line parameters
- for your file editor. A file called TPUNCH.DAT will be generated
- that will be used by TPUNCH in the future. If you need to change
- the parameters contained in TPUNCH.DAT, just use a text editor, or
- erase the file and TPUNCH will ask you to input the configuration
- the next time you run TPUNCH. See your tape puncher manual for
- the appropriate baudrate to enter.

- When the main screen comes up you will see a a directory of files.
- Use the toggles to change various parameters and then highlite the file
- to punch, and press enter. You can change subdirectories by highliting
- a subdirectory and pressing enter.

- PRESS C to Toggle Rewind
- Code At Start Of Tape:
- REWIND / NO CODE

- PRESS E to Edit file
- PRESS V to View file
- PRESS R to Rename file
- PRESS D to Delete file

- Once you have selected a file to punch, a second screen will allow
- you to print a man readable header on the tape and to select leader
- length. Press enter and the tape will be punched.

- to get a useable color palette.
